Julian Nagelsmann hints at possible squad rotation as Germany face Ghana next after their win over Switzerland.
Julian Nagelsmann has refused to reveal whether he will rotate his squad for Germany’s upcoming friendly against Ghana on Monday. The Germany boss opted to keep his plans private, insisting he will first assess player fitness following their recent outing.
Speaking after the match, Nagelsmann explained that decisions would depend on how his players recover. He stressed that the coaching staff would evaluate physical condition before determining who is ready to feature in the clash scheduled in Stuttgart.

Germany head into the Ghana fixture buoyed by a solid victory over Switzerland. The win showed Nagelsmann’s tactical balance, with his side controlling large periods of the game and demonstrating improved cohesion across midfield and attack.
The 4-3 result further strengthened Germany’s momentum, with several players, including Florian Wirtz, delivering encouraging displays.
True to his pre-match promise, Nagelsmann limited changes during the Switzerland game, making just four substitutions despite having the option to rotate more heavily. In contrast, Switzerland used two different lineups in their friendly in Basel.
Notably, Antonio Rüdiger and in-form striker Deniz Undav were among the unused substitutes, despite both being strong contenders for minutes. Their availability increases the likelihood that Nagelsmann could shuffle his lineup against Ghana but for now, the Germany boss is keeping his options open.
