Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he holds no fear of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League showdown at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta has insisted that Harry Kane doesn’t scare Arsenal, even though the England captain has a fearsome record against the Gunners.

Kane has netted 15 goals in just 21 career meetings with Arsenal and is the highest‑scoring opponent ever at the Emirates, with six goals in ten appearances there, including a penalty in the 2024 Champions League quarter‑final.

The 32‑year‑old is on fire this season, racking up 24 goals in 18 games for Bayern Munich and 109 goals in 114 appearances since his 2023 move from Tottenham.

Asked about the looming threat, Arteta told the pre‑match press conference: “I wouldn’t use that word,” he said, referring to fear. “I admire what he has done and what he continues to do. That level of consistency, especially demanding to score goals at the level with his country, with any team he’s been involved with, is incredible, so big credit to him.”

Arteta emphasized that Arsenal’s focus is on preparation, not intimidation. He wants his players to be disciplined, organized, and aggressive enough to limit Kane’s influence and keep him quiet on the night.

Bayern Munich arrive at the Emirates on a five‑game unbeaten streak against Arsenal, having won four of those meetings. Both sides sit atop their group with 12 points each, making this a clash of equals and a must‑win encounter for both managers.
