The Red Devils are winless in their last three games at the Gtech Stadium
Bryan Mbeumo will return with Manchester United on Saturday to the Gtech Community Stadium, where he played for six years with Brentford.
The 25-year-old joined United from Brentford for £65m last summer, after six seasons in West London where he scored 70 goals in 242 appearances and became a fan favourite.
He will now be looking to score against his old club at the weekend as United chase back-to-back league wins for the first time under embattled manager Ruben Amorim.
United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea last weekend was their second out of five in the campaign so far, but they have not recorded successive league victories since May 2024.
Mbeumo has scored two goals for United, once in the Premier League and the other in the ill-fated clash against Grimsby in the Carabao Cup. The Cameroonian who scored 20 league goals last season to attract Amorim’s interest will be looking to add to his tally against his old team.
However, United are winless in their last three games at the Gtech Stadium, having lost two and drawn the other.
