Mario Retegui won the Capocannoniere after scoring 25 goals in the Italian Serie A.

The Serie A’s highest goal scorer award, also known as the Capocannoniere, is one of the top awards given out in the Serie A every season.

This season, the race for the Serie A took many football lovers by storm because the list didn’t contain names that you would ordinarily be used to. Despite this fact, the list is filled with strikers who toiled every game of the season and deserved their goals.

Lukaku and Thuram finished the season with 14 Serie A goals and are tied in fifth place.

In third place are Orsolini and Lookman with 15 goals each. Fiorentina’s Moise Kean finished in second place with an impressive goal tally of 15.

The winner of the Capocannoniere and leading goalscorer in the Italian Serie A is Mario Retegui from Atalanta who scored 25 goals across all the Serie A games this season.

The Atalanta forward has made his mark on the Italian Serie A by proving his goal scoring ability and surpassing competition from prolific finishers like Lautaro Martinez, Romelu Lukaku and Ademola Lookman.
