Denmark international wanted Old Trafford stay but the arrival of Sesko has changed the picture
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund will join Napoli this summer after the two clubs reached an agreement for a loan move.
Napoli will pay a €6m loan fee, with an obligation to buy for €44m next year if they secure Champions League qualification. There are plans for a medical on Sunday, but Hojlund still has to agree personal terms before the move can go ahead.
Hojlund was with the United squad for the summer tour of the United States and said he wanted to stay and compete for his place at Old Trafford.
But the player has not featured in any game since United returned to England, and the arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig has reduced his chances, with even the new signing himself still consigned to the substitutes bench.
The 22-year-old previously played in Italy with Atalanta and is open to a return to Serie A as he looks to secure regular minutes ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
