More high-profile exits are expected as Amorim reshapes the squad ahead of the 2025-26 season
Manchester United have confirmed the departure of 10 players as part of a sweeping summer overhaul, with first-team regulars Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen having officially left the club following the expiration of their contracts.
Experienced centre-back Jonny Evans has also left Old Trafford. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton is listed among the released players, but negotiations over a new deal are reportedly ongoing.
In addition to the senior departures, United have also released several academy players: Hubert Graczyk, Jack Kingdon, Sam Murray, Tom Myles, James Nolan, and Tom Wooster.
Lindelof’s exit brings an end to an eight-year stay at United after joining from Benfica in 2017. Eriksen leaves after three seasons at the club, during which he and Lindelof helped the Red Devils win the League Cup and FA Cup. Evans, meanwhile, completes a second spell at the club, having returned in 2023. His combined years at Old Trafford saw him collect three Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, a Club World Cup, and an FA Cup.

Players such as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony remain at the club for now, but all three are reportedly being considered for transfer as the club evaluates its attacking options.
