Club are keen on signing a reliable goalscorer this summer who can either support or replace Hojlund
Manchester United are willing to send Rasmus Hojlund out on loan this summer, provided any deal includes an obligation to buy.
The club have always maintained that they are not actively pushing out the player, but would listen to offers and sanction a sale if it is financially right, especially if the player himself wants to leave.
Hojlund joined United in 2023 in a deal worth around £72m from Atalanta but has underperformed in the Premier League. Last season, he only managed four league goals in 32 appearances.
With deals already completed for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, and the club still in the market for a striker, they would be willing even to let Hojlund leave on loan, according to Calciomercato.
United have also reportedly dropped their internal valuation and would accept a fee in the region of €45m for Hojlund.
Several Serie A clubs, including Inter Milan and Juventus, have shown interest in Hojlund. Inter Milan made initial contact earlier in the window but have since shifted focus to Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman. Juventus are monitoring the player, although they also have Paris Saint-Germain’s on their shortlist.
United are keen on signing a centre-forward this summer, with Ruben Amorim eager to add a reliable goalscorer who can either support or replace Hojlund. One name that has been mentioned is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and PSG’s Kolo Muani have also been linked with the 20-time Premier League champions.
