No place in the 29-man squad for Marcus Rashford and four others told to find new clubs this summer
Manchester United have confirmed their travelling squad for Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Leeds United in Stockholm.
Summer signings Matheus Cunha and teenage full-back Diego Leon – who will wear the No 30 shirt – are both included and set to make their first appearances since joining the club.
However, there is no place in the 29-man squad for Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony or Tyrell Malacia, all of whom have been excluded from head coach Ruben Amorim’s plans and are expected to find new clubs this summer.
The fixture at the Strawberry Arena is United’s opening match of the summer, with a US tour scheduled to follow. Injured duo Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee will miss the Leeds game but are expected to join the squad stateside next week.
The squad:
Goalkeepers: Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Dermot Mee.
Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Ayden Heaven, Diego Leon, Tyler Fredricson, Reece Munro, Godwill Kukonki.
