Red Devils to kick off season against Arsenal in high-profile opener
Manchester United will open their 2025-26 Premier League campaign with a clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford, as the full fixture list for the new season was released on Wednesday.
Ruben Amorim’s side face a challenging start, with the early test against Arsenal in August followed by the first leg of the Manchester derby at the Etihad and then a meeting with Chelsea, both in September.
A visit to Anfield to face Liverpool is scheduled for mid-October, while the Red Devils will take on newly-promoted rivals Leeds United away in the first week of January.
With United having missed out on European football for this upcoming season, the lighter schedule could prove to be an advantage for the club during the packed winter calendar.
The reverse Manchester derby is pencilled in for 17 January at Old Trafford, while the second meeting with Arsenal will take place at the Emirates on 24 January.
April and May will see the club play Leeds United and Chelsea again at the business end of the season, before welcoming Liverpool to Old Trafford.
