The Turkish Super Lig champions have reportedly agreed personal terms with the player

Ederson could yet be on his way to Galatasaray with rumours emerging that the goalkeeper has agreed personal terms with the club.

According to reports last week, Galatasaray approached City with a modest offer of €3m for Ederson, which should of course be considered far below their valuation of a player who has been instrumental to their sustained success under Pep Guardiola.

The Turkish Super Lig champions have now agreed personal terms with the player and begun negotiations with the club to try and get a deal done, according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

Any deal would most likely involve Galatasaray significantly increasing their initial €3m offer as City seek a more substantial fee for their experienced goalkeeper.

Ederson joined City from Benfica in 2017 and has been a key part of Pep Guardiola’s side during a dominant spell that has included six Premier League titles and a Champions League win as part of a historic treble in 2023.

The Brazilian’s passing ability and composure on the ball has helped Guardiola dominate English football for close to a decade.

Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad have also expressed interested in Ederson’s signature.

During the Club World Cup in the US, the player dismissed talk of an Etihad exit, telling reporters “my future is here [with City]”.
