Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto was forced off in the first half of the recent match against Fulham due to an apparent ankle injury.

Reece James was replaced by Gusto at the start of the second half but his injury didn’t see him finish off the game.

Manager Enzo Maresca provided a positive update, stating, “He’s okay, he’s better. They just told me he can be ready for Sunday’s game.”

Gusto’s injury occurred during a defensive play, but initial assessments suggest he avoided serious damage. The club will continue to monitor his condition ahead of their next fixture.
