Luis Enrique was impressed by Dembele’s defensive work, saying, “I would give the Ballon d’Or to Ousmane Dembele for the way he defended in this final. That’s what you call leading a team.”

He added, “I sincerely believe he deserves the Ballon d’Or, without a doubt, not just for the titles he won or the goals he scored, but for his pressing.”

Dembele’s performance in the final was remarkable, becoming the first player to provide two assists in a Champions League final since Marcelo in 2018.

This season, he has recorded 14 goal involvements in the Champions League (eight goals, six assists), and 46 total goal involvements across all competitions.

Dembele’s impressive form has been consistent throughout the season, showcasing his skills as a dynamic and versatile player. His ability to contribute to both goals and defense has been a key factor in PSG’s success, and Luis Enrique’s praise is a testament to his exceptional talent and hard work.
