Bayern Munich have also shown interest in Diaz but Liverpool have said he is not for sale

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has addressed his future at Liverpool amid speculation of an interest from La Liga champions Barcelona.

The 28-year-old has been targeted by Barcelona to reinforce their left wing, a position club officials have long sought to upgrade.

Sporting director Deco revealed this year that the club have long-standing admiration for the former Porto winger.

“It’s not known yet,” Diaz told Colombian outlet WinSports when asked about his future at Liverpool. “We’re talking with the board. We’re comfortable with where I am, and we’ll have to see.”

The comment follows Nico Williams’ decision to reject Barcelona and commit to a new long-term deal with Athletic Club, reportedly with a €100 million release clause.

With that door now shut, Diaz has moved to the top of Barcelona’s shortlist, although Liverpool have categorically stated that he will not be leaving Anfield before his current contract runs out in 2027.

Bayern Munich have also shown interest in Diaz. The German champions are understood to be exploring the Colombian as a possible replacement for Leroy Sane, whose has left the Allianz Arena for Galatasaray this summer.
