Premier League champions value the midfielder highly but he wants a move away from Anfield in search of regular football
Liverpool have placed a £50m valuation on 21-year-old midfielder Harvey Elliott, who is likely to leave Anfield this this summer.
The England U-21 international is attracting interest from West Ham, who are looking to reinvest after the £60m sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, as reported by The Daily Mail.
Liverpool would consider lowering the fee to £40m if a buy-back clause is included, as the club still value the player highly and see the possibility of him returning to Anfield in future.
Elliott made 28 appearances in all competitions last season but was limited to just six starts due to competition from older and more in-form options. It is this limited involvement that has spurred him to seek an exit from his boyhood club. However, he remains under contract at Anfield until 2027 and Liverpool are unwilling to let him go without significant compensation.
West Ham are interested in other midfield options, including Tyler Morton, another Liverpool academy graduate and England U-21. The London club could move for Morton or look elsewhere if they are unable to meet Liverpool’s valuation of Elliott.
