Premier League champions remain firm in their stance to keep the winger and have rejected two formal bids for him
Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has reportedly held direct communications with Bayern Munich as the German club step up their efforts to sign him.
Bayern have been speaking to Diaz’s representatives for weeks, but manager Vincent Kompany has now been confirmed to have recently held a video call with Diaz to convince him to move to Germany, according to Sport Bild.
The call was described as positive. Diaz is said to be happy with the project he was offered and has expressed his willingness to make the switch to Bavaria.
The complication is that Liverpool remain firm in their stance to keep the winger and have rejected two formal bids for him, most recently an offer of €67.5m.

Diaz is under contract at Anfield until 2027 and played a key role in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign last season, contributing 13 goals in the Premier League. The club are aware of his importance to Arne Slot’s squad and have no desire to go into the market for a left winger this summer.
Bayern had initially hoped to cap their offer at €60m, but their failure to land two other targets this summer – Athletic Club’s Nico Williams and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola – has forced them to reconsider their ceiling.
Diaz is now the club’s primary target for the left wing, and Bayern’s board are reportedly weighing up a third bid for the player.
