Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Leandro Trossard’s situation at Arsenal, considering him a potential addition before the summer transfer window closes.

Borussia Dortmund are keeping a close eye on Leandro Trossard’s situation at Arsenal, with the Bundesliga side exploring their options to sign the Belgian winger.

Trossard’s future at Arsenal is now in doubt, with several clubs, including two Premier League teams and Fenerbahçe, submitting firm offers for the 30-year-old.

Trossard has played an important squad role under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, often rotating with Gabriel Martinelli and offering depth and quality across the attack.

His link-up play and ability to exploit spaces between defenders have added another dimension to Arsenal’s attack. Trossard’s adaptability is seen as a major asset, having featured in multiple positions across the frontline, including left wing, false nine, and attacking midfield.

The Belgian international is under contract at Arsenal until 2027, but the club may be tempted to cash in on his value, especially with interest building and the possibility of recouping most of the transfer fee they initially paid.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023 in a deal worth around £27 million, and his impressive performances have made him a valuable asset.

Last season, Trossard featured in 62 matches across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and contributing 10 assists. His strong technical ability, intelligent movement, and work ethic have earned him praise from Arsenal’s coaching staff. However, with concrete interest already on the table and Arsenal open to sales, a move before the end of the window remains a strong possibility.

Trossard’s ability to operate in multiple positions would give Dortmund’s coach, Edin Terzic, more options and flexibility in his team selection, which is why the German club are interested in signing him.
