Mohammed Kudus faces surgery after a fresh injury, meaning he will miss the rest of the season for Tottenham Hotspur.

Mohammed Kudus is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a fresh hamstring injury, dealing a major blow to both Tottenham Hotspur and Ghana. The setback comes just months before the World Cup, putting his participation in serious doubt.

The 24-year-old reportedly felt discomfort during an individual training session, prompting immediate concern from Tottenham’s medical staff. Subsequent scans confirmed a recurrence of the hamstring problem, with surgery now expected to be required.

The anticipated recovery period of around three months would likely rule Kudus out for the remainder of the Premier League season. It also leaves Ghana facing the possibility of heading into the tournament without one of their key attacking players.

Ghana are scheduled to face England, Panama, and Croatia in Group L, making Kudus’ potential absence particularly significant. His creativity and goal threat have been central to the team’s recent plans.

This is not the first time Kudus has struggled with hamstring issues this season. The initial injury occurred in December, after which the player and club opted for a cautious recovery approach rather than immediate surgery. Kudus even travelled to Amsterdam to consult a specialist linked to former club Ajax, choosing a conservative rehabilitation program. The aim was to ensure he would be fully fit in time for the World Cup.

After nearly 100 days of recovery and a planned return following the international break, the recurrence during training proved a cruel setback. With surgery now likely and a lengthy recovery expected, Kudus is unlikely to feature again this season, leaving both Spurs and Ghana anxiously awaiting his progress.
