Randal Kolo Muani prioritizes a Juventus return despite Newcastle United’s interest, with PSG seeking a €40 million obligation to buy in any loan deal.
Randal Kolo Muani’s future remains uncertain as Newcastle United explores signing the PSG forward, but the player himself is keen on returning to Juventus. Kolo Muani spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus and would prefer to join the Italian giants permanently.
Newcastle’s interest in Kolo Muani comes after they missed out on signing Benjamin Sesko, who opted for Manchester United instead.
Juventus has been in talks with PSG over signing Kolo Muani, with a potential loan deal with an obligation to buy for around €45-50 million.
However, PSG is reportedly seeking a guaranteed fee of €40-45 million, which might deter Juventus from pursuing the deal. The Italian club’s financial situation is complicated by Dusan Vlahovic’s €12 million per season salary, which consumes a significant portion of their wage bill.
If Juventus can offload Vlahovic, they might have more flexibility to sign Kolo Muani. The potential transfer is further complicated by other Premier League clubs showing interest in the player. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are among the clubs reportedly eyeing Kolo Muani, with PSG demanding €55 million for the 26-year-old France international striker.
Despite Newcastle’s alleged interest, there’s no confirmation that they’ve made an official approach for Kolo Muani.
The Magpies have been exploring various striker options after missing out on several targets, including Benjamin Sesko. Other players on their radar include Nicolas Jackson, Goncalo Ramos, Ollie Watkins, and Lois Openda.
Kolo Muani’s impressive performance during his loan spell at Juventus, where he scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists in 22 appearances, makes him an attractive target for several clubs. His preference for Juventus, however, might influence the final decision on his future.
