Arsenal’s Kepa Arrizabalaga made a crucial save in the penalty shootout against Crystal Palace, sending his team to the League Cup semifinals. The Spanish goalkeeper saved Maxence Lacroix’s spot kick, helping Arsenal win the shootout 8-7.

The match had gone to penalties after Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi equalized in stoppage time, canceling out Maxence Lacroix’s own goal in the 80th minute.

Arrizabalaga’s save was a turning point in the shootout, and he credited his mental toughness for the decisive moment.

“It was a change of mindset, and it worked,” Arrizabalaga said. “Credit to the guys, they took amazing penalties. They keep us in the game, and they give me an opportunity to make a save.”
