Bayern Munich secured a 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven, courtesy of a late Harry Kane winner, to book their spot in the Champions League last 16.

The win meant Bayern would finish in second place in the UCL league phase, and they’ll now head into the knockout stage..

Vincent Kompany made several changes to the starting lineup, giving opportunities to Jonas Urbig, Lennart Karl, and Nicolas Jackson. Meanwhile, PSV had everything to play for, needing a win to secure a ticket to the knockouts.

The match started brightly for PSV, with Joey Veerman testing Urbig with a long-range shot. However, Bayern took the lead in the 55th minute through Jamal Musiala, who fired the ball past Matej Kovar.

PSV responded well, with Ismael Saibari equalizing in the 75th minute, putting the hosts in a strong position. But Bayern’s bench boost, Harry Kane, restored the visitors’ lead in the 84th minute, calmly firing the ball past Kovar.

The late goal sealed PSV’s elimination from the Champions League, and they’ll now focus on their domestic campaign. Bayern, on the other hand, will look to build on this momentum in the knockout stage.
