Juventus secured a narrow 2-1 win over Roma with Conceicao and Openda on target.

Juventus secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Roma at the Allianz Stadium, keeping them unbeaten at home in Serie A this season.

The breakthrough came in the 44th minute when Francisco Conceicao drilled the ball into the bottom corner with his left foot, giving Juventus the lead at the interval. The goal finally injected some momentum into the match, and it was a deserved lead.

The Bianconeri started the second half on the front foot, dominating possession and putting Roma’s defense under pressure. It paid off in the 70th minute when Lois Openda tapped the ball home after a smart tee-up from Weston McKennie.

Roma refused to give up, and they secured a lifeline in the 75th minute when Tommaso Baldanzi tucked away the rebound after Evan Ferguson’s shot was parried into danger. The game was stretching out, but Juventus held on to secure a deserved win.

Despite the win, Juventus remained in fifth place in the table, four points behind Serie A leaders Inter Milan. Roma, on the other hand, stayed in fourth place and will look to bounce back against Genoa on December 29.
