The Bianconeri are lacking natural right-backs, having relied on wing-backs and versatile players like Pierre Kalulu and Andrea Cambiaso.
Gusto, 22, has demonstrated his ability to operate in central midfield and right-back, earning game time under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea. He’s started 7 of 10 competitive appearances this season, but is behind Reece James in the pecking order.
Juventus sees Gusto as a top target, willing to table a €50m offer despite his contract running until 2030. Chelsea’s strong negotiating position makes a sale unlikely, but an enticing offer and suitable replacement could change their stance.
Gusto’s versatility and youth make him an attractive prospect for Juventus, potentially becoming a regular starter at right-back or wing-back. His ability to adapt to different roles would bolster Juventus’ squad depth.
Gusto remains part of Maresca’s plans at Chelsea with the defender playing as backup to Reece James or starting in midfield. Although the offer looks enticing, Chelsea may not be interested in selling.
