Player’s reaction comes after a Madrid fan account claimed he was part of a group that did not believe in the manager
Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham has blasted reports circulating on social media that he was among the players in the dressing room who pushed for the dismissal of Xabi Alonso.
Alonso left Madrid on Monday apparently “by mutual consent”, but the 44-year-old is thought to have been dismissed by the club due to, among another things, his inability to control the dressing room.
Rumours have gone rife in the aftermath of the Spaniard’s sacking, but on Tuesday Bellingham posted on his personal app, JB5, berating reporters for apparently telling lies.
“Until now l’ve let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time,” Bellingham said. “But honestly… What a load of sh*t.
The player’s reaction was accompanied by screenshots of a post by a Madrid fan account alleging that Madrid’s locker dressing room had been divided, with one group, including Kylian Mbappe, supporting Alonso, while the other group, among them Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, did not believe in him.

“Truly feel sorry for the people that hang onto the every word of these clowns and their ‘sources’,” Bellingham said. “Do not believe everything you read, every now and then these lot need to be held accountable for spreading this kind of damaging misinformation for clicks and added controversy.”
