Ex-Chelsea defender John Terry says he’s concerned about Arsenal’s chances of breaking the Blues’ record for clean sheets in a season, set in the 2004/2005 campaign.

John Terry, the former Chelsea defender, has admitted he’s worried about Arsenal’s chances of breaking the Blues’ record for clean sheets in a season. Before their 2-2 draw at Sunderland on Saturday, the Gunners had conceded only three times in the Premier League.

The Blues’ record stands at 25 clean sheets, set in the 2004/2005 campaign during Jose Mourinho’s first stint at Stamford Bridge. Terry said he’s been keeping an eye on Arsenal’s fixtures and is impressed with their performance.

“I have to say I’m actually a little bit worried now,” Terry said in a TikTok video. “I’m looking at their fixtures on a weekly basis, seeing where they’re going to potentially concede goals, but I have to say, I have to give them credit, they look very good at the moment.”

Terry’s concerns are understandable, given Arsenal’s strong start to the season. However, he believes it will be a challenge for the Gunners to beat the Blues’ record.

“I still think it’s going to be too much to beat our record, but being honest, I’m a little nervous,” Terry admitted. The former England international is proud of Chelsea’s achievement, which was part of a remarkable season that saw the Blues win the Premier League title for the first time in 50 years.

Whether or not they can break the record remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – it will be an exciting season for Premier League fans.
