English forward, Jordan Sancho has returned to Manchester United ahead of the new season, following his successful spell last season with German side, Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho has initially joined Manchester United for a reported £73 million (€85 million) in transfer fees after he had impressed with Dortmund in the Bundesliga. However, Sancho’s time at United has not been rosy at all and matters got out of hand last season.
The forward was left out of the United squad for the Arsenal game back in September and when Erik Ten Hag was questioned about his player’s absence, he suggested that Sancho was not performing up to standard.
Sancho was not going to let that slide and he took to social media to make comments about “people saying things that is completely untrue”. This led to a long battle between himself and Ten Hag that ended up with him being sent back on loan to Dortmund in January.
That move seemed like a blessing in disguise for him as he found form and was part of the Dortmund team that made it all the way to the Uefa Champions league final where they eventually lost to Real Madrid.
With the 2024/25 football season now in sight, Sancho has now returned to pre-season training at Carrington, as Erik ten Hag makes plans for the new season. Other senior players currently in camp include Andre Onana, Casemiro, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford.
United will play their first pre-season friendly match against Rosenborg on Monday
