Inter President Beppe Marotta praises Napoli’s chances for the Serie A title and hints at Davide Frattesi’s possible exit.
Inter President Beppe Marotta believes Napoli are the clear favorites for the Serie A title, citing their consistency and summer investments. “Napoli are the reigning champions, they strengthened their squad and maintained the same coach,” he told reporters.
Marotta laughed off Antonio Conte’s suggestion that only Inter, Milan, and Juventus are title contenders. “Conte is a good communicator, very good at distracting attention,” he smiled.
Inter ends 2025 top of Serie A but without a trophy, exiting the Supercoppa Italiana early. Marotta sees this as a positive year, showing “faith in the hard work of everyone at the club.”
Davide Frattesi, struggling for playing time, may exit. “A player who doesn’t get consistent time has every right to think about alternatives,” Marotta said, adding Frattesi hasn’t expressed a desire to leave.
Dumfries’ injury prompts Inter to consider replacements, but Marotta denies targeting Atalanta’s Marco Palestra. “We’ll evaluate what the transfer market can offer,” he said.
Marotta emphasized Inter’s focus on the title push. “We modified our model, invested in young players… it’ll be a challenge to the very end.”
