Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu emphasizes his team’s determination to succeed, dismissing comments from Napoli’s Antonio Conte as irrelevant.

Inter Milan’s coach, Cristian Chiv,u has declared his team is “ready to fight” after securing a 1-0 win over Atalanta, moving them to the top of Serie A. The victory came courtesy of Lautaro Martínez’s goal, assisted by substitute Francesco Pio Esposito.

Chivu praised his team’s performance, highlighting their control in the first half and resilience in the second. “I’m happy with the whole team today, who tried to control the game,” he told reporters after the game.

The win marks Inter’s fourth consecutive league victory, with captain Lautaro Martínez scoring in four straight games. Chivu attributed the success to the team’s hard work and unity.

When asked about Napoli coach Antonio Conte’s comments, Chivu was dismissive. “I am not interested in what Conte says,” he shrugged, emphasizing his focus on Inter’s performance.

Chivu also reflected on Inter’s disappointing Supercoppa Italiana exit, acknowledging the pressure but stressing the team’s determination to move forward. “Nothing can be taken for granted in football,” he said.

Inter ends 2025 atop Serie A, but Chivu remains cautious. “We’re not even halfway through the season yet… We are ready to keep fighting even harder,” he said.
