Inter Milan maintains their perfect start to the Champions League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Slavia Prague, thanks to Lautaro Martinez’s double and Denzel Dumfries’ goal.
Inter Milan continued their winning streak in the Champions League with a convincing 3-0 victory over Slavia Prague at San Siro.
The Nerazzurri dominated the match, with Lautaro Martinez scoring twice and Denzel Dumfries adding another goal. Martinez’s double was enough to seal the win for Inter, who maintained their perfect record in the competition.
The match began with Inter looking to assert their dominance, with half the team creating scoring opportunities.
However, it wasn’t until the 30th minute that they finally broke through, courtesy of a mistake by Slavia goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek. Martinez capitalized on the error, tapping the ball into the net with his first touch.
Just four minutes later, Inter doubled their lead when Dumfries scored after a beautiful build-up play involving Francesco Acerbi and Marcus Thuram. The Dutch defender stabbed the ball home within the six-yard box, giving Slavia no chance.
In the second half, Martinez scored his second goal, poking home a cut-back from Alessandro Bastoni. The Italy international provided the assist after holding up the ball and waiting for Bastoni to overlap. The third goal effectively sealed the win for Inter, who controlled the match from then on.
The victory means Inter has six points from two games, putting them level with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich at the top of the standings. Inter’s next challenge will be against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on October 21, 2025.
