Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta denies rumors of Hakan Calhanoglu’s imminent departure, stating that the midfielder has shown no signs of dissatisfaction.
Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta has denied rumors that the club is willing to let midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu leave, stating that unless the player explicitly expresses his desire to leave, there’s no plan to sell him.
Calhanoglu has been linked to Galatasaray, but Marotta insists that he’s had no indication of the player’s dissatisfaction.
“I’m in constant contact with him, and I haven’t noticed any discomfort or dissatisfaction about being here,” Marotta said. “He’s currently injured and training separately, but over the past few days, he’s consistently shown great respect and professionalism.”
Marotta attributed the rumors surrounding Calhanoglu’s future to the typical speculation of the transfer market, saying that they’re often amplified by certain comments and deliberately misleading information.
Meanwhile, Marotta revealed that Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny is a player of interest for Inter Milan.
“He’s a player who is in our notebook, but we have not yet begun full negotiations,” Marotta said. “We will do it calmly, as we do not know Parma’s stance yet – but I do not deny we are interested.”
