Juventus coach Igor Tudor brushes off boos from Allianz Stadium fans after a 0-0 draw with AC Milan, focusing on tactical aspects of the game.

Igor Tudor remains unfazed by the boos that echoed through the Allianz Stadium after Juventus’s 0-0 draw with AC Milan. The Juventus coach insisted he didn’t hear the jeers, stating, “I came back inside immediately.” Instead of addressing the crowd’s discontent, Tudor chose to focus on the tactical nuances of the game.

In his post-match press conference, Tudor explained the thought process behind Kenan Yildiz’s positioning on the pitch. “We want to swap him and Cambiaso a bit, to leave the one-on-one against Saelemaekers,” he said, highlighting the neat exchanges between the two players.

Tudor also praised the team’s performance in the first half, noting that they had some interesting moments when things were still organised.

Tudor acknowledged that Yildiz, along with Conceicao and David, appeared tired towards the end of their appearance against Milan. However, he didn’t want to give the signal that they were holding back, so he brought on two strikers and switched to a 3-5-2 formation. This tactical change paid off, as Juventus created some chances with crosses and recoveries.

The draw extends Juventus’s streak of consecutive draws to five matches across the Champions League and Serie A. Despite being unbeaten, the team’s underwhelming performance against Milan sparked boos from the Allianz Stadium crowd. Tudor, however, remains focused on improving the team, saying, “I have to adapt to the players, but I also have to do things that make sense to me.”

When asked about the possibility of playing with two strikers up front more often, Tudor seemed open to the idea. “I’ll think about it, because I have to find out whatever is best for the team, and what works for me,” he said. Tudor emphasised his passion for coaching, stating, “I like coaching, not just changing systems.”

The draw against Milan has left Juventus in a challenging position, but Tudor’s calm demeanour suggests he’s committed to finding solutions. With the international break looming, Tudor will have time to reflect on the team’s performance and devise a plan to take them forward.
