New Tottenham Hotspur coach Igor Tudor is exuding confidence, declaring he’s “100%” sure the team will remain in the Premier League next season.

Tudor, a former Juventus boss, took the helm after Thomas Frank’s sacking, with Tottenham currently 16th, just five points above the relegation zone.

Tudor’s debut couldn’t be tougher, facing league leaders Arsenal this Sunday. Speaking ahead of his first game in charge, Tudor said “this relegation battle is not important,” he said, emphasizing focus on performance over position. “You achieve the position because of what you do during the week and on Sunday.”

The Croatian coach dismissed concerns about Tottenham’s narrow margin for error, saying, “Five points, 10, two – it’s the same. We need to be focused.” Tudor prioritizes building team cohesion over tactics, stating, “It’s not about systems. It’s about becoming a team that looks after each other.”

With injuries plating havoc, Tudor has just 13 players in training, yet remains optimistic: “Quite enough to achieve what we want.”Cristian Romero’s suspension adds to the challenge, with Tudor keeping the captaincy decision under wraps

Tudor relishes the Arsenal clash, saying, “It’s an amazing game to restart. I have heard a lot of good things about them.” He’s determined to make an immediate impact: “We need to show them we care and want to make a change.”

Tottenham fans are eager to see Tudor’s impact, given their struggles under Frank. The team’s potential is clear, but consistency is key. “There is potential,” Tudor said, “a team with quality, with legs that can run.”

Tudor’s experience as a “firefighter” manager could be crucial. He’s known for stabilizing crisis-hit teams, having done so at Udinese and Juventus. The question now is if he can work his magic at Tottenham?
