In a video posted on his X page, Ryan Reynolds, in the company of his friend Hugh Jackman, was very excited as he shouted, “Ohhh, Chelsea, wait, wait, wait, we’re home to Chelsea” before shaking hands with his friends.
While Chelsea beat Hull City 4-0, Wrexham edged past Ipswich Town 1-0 to advance at the Racecourse Ground on Friday night.
Wrexham have already overcome Premier League opponents after defeating Nottingham Forest on penalties in the preceding round. However, Chelsea is expected to present a more formidable challenge.
After defeating Ipswich, Wrexham coach Phil Parkinson said, “We spoke before the game about our chance to create a bit of history. “We’ve done it, and I’m so pleased because it was always going to be a tough game against a very good side. Every season in football is special; you’ve got to savour it, and the FA Cup is part of that.
“It was crucial that we followed up the Nottingham Forest win with another victory. This season, with the challenge of being in the Championship and now an FA Cup run, we want to enjoy it and we certainly did tonight.”
Chelsea will be looking to continue a deep run in the FA Cup after losing 3-2 to Arsenal in the FA Cup. Rosenior would be hoping his team can continue their success under him.
