Harry Kane is prioritizing trophies over goals as he eyes the Ballon d’Or award.

Harry Kane is on fire this season, with 23 goals in 17 appearances for Bayern Munich, but he’s keeping his eyes on the Ballon d’Or and he’s aware that goals alone won’t secure it for him

“I could score 100 goals this season, but if I don’t win the Champions League or the World Cup, you’re probably not going to win the Ballon d’Or,” Kane said. He’s spot on, considering his impressive stats, including three goals in four appearances for England.

Kane’s logic is sound – winning major trophies is what matters most. “It’s the same with (Erling) Haaland, it’s the same with any player. You have to be winning those major trophies,” he added. Bayern Munich are currently top of the Bundesliga and Champions League group stage standings, so things are looking up.

England has already qualified for the World Cup, but this Sunday’s game against Albania is still crucial for their preparations. Kane emphasized the importance of representing his country, saying, “Representing your country is the biggest honour.”

With his impressive form and Bayern’s success, Kane believes he’s in the conversation for the Ballon d’Or. “Hopefully, if things go my way for club and country, then I’m definitely going to be in the conversation for a trophy like the Ballon d’Or.”
