Harry Kane Stars as Bayern Munich Edge Frankfurt 3-2

Bayern Munich increased their lead in the Bundesliga table to nine points with a thrilling 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena.

The game got off to a great start for Bayern, with Aleksandar Pavlović volleying home after just 11 minutes. Four minutes later, Harry Kane headed in Michael Olise’s corner to double the lead.

Frankfurt struggled to trouble Bayern’s defense, but they had a few chances, including a shot from Jean-Mattéo Bahoya that was easily saved by Jonas Urbig. Bayern continued to create chances, with Olise, Luis Díaz, and Kane all testing Frankfurt’s goalkeeper Kauã Santos.

Kane scored his second goal of the game, curling a left-footed shot into the net, before conceding a penalty for a trip on Oscar Højlund. Jonathan Burkardt converted the spot-kick, and Frankfurt pushed for an equalizer.

The visitors got a lifeline when Joshua Kimmich’s poor pass allowed Arnaud Kalimuendo to score an easy goal. Frankfurt continued to press, but Bayern held on for the win.

The win extends Bayern’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga, but their second-half performance was sloppy, and they will be looking to improve when they face Borussia Dortmund next week.

Kane’s two goals take him to 27 Bundesliga goals this season, and he’s looking like a contender for the top scorer award.
