Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane was left disappointed as Leipzig scored a late goal to stall any title celebrations for the German giants.

Harry Kane didn’t play as he was serving a suspension due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Kane expressed his frustration over missing the crucial match, describing the suspension rule as “crazy.”

The match was a rollercoaster of events.

Bayern found themselves on the back foot early, with Leipzig capitalizing on defensive lapses to establish a 2-0 lead through goals from Benjamin Šeško and Lukas Klostermann.

Bayern looked out of place for a bit and Leipzig. The first goal was a culmination of brilliance for Sesko and a grave error from goalkeeper Urbrig.

However, the second half saw a rejuvenated Bayern side. Within a minute, Eric Dier and Michael Olise scored to level the match, igniting hopes of a title-clinching victory.

Leroy Sané’s 83rd-minute strike seemed to seal the win, but Yussuf Poulsen’s stoppage-time header dashed those hopes, delaying Bayern’s celebrations and leaving Harry Kane stunned as he rushed down earlier to celebrate with his teammates.

Kane, who was not available for selection, was watching from the stands, and he raced to the touchline in a bid to celebrate his first ever trophy, but Poulsen’s goal just stalled any celebrations.

Despite the draw, Bayern remains in a strong position to clinch the Bundesliga title. They lead the table with 76 points, nine ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who have a game in hand. Should Leverkusen fail to win their next match, Bayern could still secure the championship.

The upcoming home fixture against Borussia Mönchengladbach presents another opportunity for Bayern to seal the title. With Kane expected to return, the team will be eager to capitalize and finally commence their celebrations.
