Chelsea may sell these five players in the summer transfer window to either raise funds or as part of plans to reduce their squad.
Chelsea have a bloated squad currently and they are still making moves in the transfer market, meaning the squad could get bigger with time. A few loan player are also coming back to the club so there is a need to let go of a few players before the new season.
This is a list of players that could potentially leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Nkunku
Chelsea are open to selling Nkunku and the French forward wants to leave as well. He hasn’t found life in England as exciting as he expected. He is down the pecking order for the striking position and he has struggled for game time. He hasn’t delivered on the promise that fans had expected from him. With Chelsea signing Delap, Nkunku could be on his way out.
Disasi
Disasi is another player that could be leaving the bridge this summer. He was sent out on loan during the regular season and his loan club, Aston Villa, has decided against signing him. The Blues have a long line up of defenders and frankly, names like Tosin and Chalobah are higher than Disasi in the roster. He may leave in search of more playing time.
Sterling
The veteran winger could be in search of another club despite just signing for the Blues 2 years ago. Sterling had a good first season at Chelsea but spent the 2024/25 season at Arsenal. He struggled for appearances as well and scored just one goal for the Gunners.
Chelsea seem to have their wings locked down with Madueke and Neto delivering excellent performances week in, week out. They also have Estevao coming to the club while Tyrique George has been growing at an exponential rate. Sterling may be looking for another club this summer.
Sanchez
This may come as a shock to many but for Chelsea fans, it was just a matter of time before the club put Sanchez’s head on the axe. He has been their number one goalkeeper this season but he has been very error-prone.
Although Maresca believes in him, Sanchez could be a problem for the Blues going into the new season. With the club entering discussions with AC Milan for Mike Maignan and Petrovic coming back to the club, Sanchez may be on his way out of Stamford Bridge if the right offer comes.
