Fiorentina came from behind to defeat Raków 2-1 and secure a 4-2 aggregate win, advancing to the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals once again.

Fiorentina booked their place in the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals for the fourth time after coming from behind to defeat Raków Częstochowa 2-1 at ArcelorMittal Park, sealing a 4-2 aggregate victory.

With the tie delicately balanced, both sides made a lively start and created early chances. Moise Kean saw a goal-bound effort blocked, while Raków responded through Oskar Repka, who volleyed over from inside the area.

Kean continued to threaten and registered the first shot on target, though his effort lacked power and was comfortably saved by Oliwier Zych. The Raków goalkeeper was called into more serious action just before half-time, producing a fine save to deny Nicolò Fagioli.

Despite Fiorentina’s control of the first half, they fell behind moments after the restart. A quick attacking move saw Ivi release Karol Struski, who beat Oliver Christensen at his near post to give Raków a surprise lead.

The setback sparked Fiorentina into life, and they pushed forward in search of a response. Fabiano Parisi tested Zych with a powerful strike, while Roberto Piccoli came agonizingly close as his header struck the post.

Their persistence paid off when Cher Ndour equalized, finishing from Piccoli’s lay-off with the help of a heavy deflection. Fiorentina continued to press, with Parisi going close again and Fagioli forcing another strong save from Zych late on.

There was late drama as Raków appealed for penalties in two separate incidents, but both claims were waved away.

Fiorentina ultimately sealed the win in extraordinary fashion when Marin Pongračić scored from inside his own half into an empty net after Zych had gone forward, ensuring La Viola’s progression and keeping their hopes of a third UECL final alive.
