Fiorentina secured a commanding 3-0 first-leg victory over Jagiellonia in their UEFA Conference League play-off, held in Poland.
Despite missing key players and facing challenging conditions. Fiorentina put on a dominant display, particularly in the second half.
The match got off to a shaky start, with Niccolo Fortini’s clearance attempt cannoning off Kamil Jozwiak and flying just wide. Jagiellonia dominated possession in the first half but struggled to trouble Fiorentina goalkeeper Luca Lezzerini, who was making his first European appearance in 10 years.

Fiorentina’s breakthrough came in the 53rd minute, when Jacopo Fazzini’s cross was headed home by captain Luca Ranieri, securing his third goal of the season. The visitors continued to press, and Rolando Mandragora’s stunning free-kick goal in the 66th minute sealed their advantage.
Roberto Piccoli added a third goal from the penalty spot in the 81st minute, taking his tally to six goals for the campaign. Jagiellonia pushed for a late consolation but couldn’t breach Fiorentina’s defence.
Fiorentina’s win marks their fourth consecutive victory on Polish soil and puts them in a strong position heading into the second leg in Florence. La Viola have now won three of their five away matches in 2026.
The victory is a welcome boost for Fiorentina, who had struggled for form prior to this win. Fiorentina will now look to secure their place in the next round when they host Jagiellonia in Florence next Thursday.
