Club are actively preparing for the two players’ departures
Crystal Palace duo Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi will start in Thursday’s Conference League playoff first leg against Fredrikstad, despite both being the subjects of persistent transfer speculation, manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed.
Eze is likely to move to Tottenham Hotspur and Guehi is closely linked with Liverpool, but both players featured in Palace’s 0-0 draw against Chelsea on Saturday.
Glasner said: “They will play a crucial part for as long as they are here. They are committed to the team. If they leave, they want to leave as the guys who gave 100 per cent to Crystal Palace.”
Goalkeeper Dean Henderson also praised the duo’s professionalism.
“Great lads. They are still committed and professional. Both of them were phenomenal against Chelsea,” said Henderson.
“They will stay committed throughout and be there to help the team. They are part of us at the minute and we will keep enjoying it.”
Palace are actively preparing for the two players’ departures. They are close to signing Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester City to potentially replace Eze, and are exploring other options such as Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis, Juventus’ Lloyd Kelly, and a possible loan for Hwang Hee-Chan from Wolves.
