Enzo Maresca dismisses reports linking him to Manchester City job, says he’s staying at Chelsea until 2029.

Enzo Maresca has dismissed reports linking him to the Manchester City manager’s job, calling them “100 per cent speculation”. The Chelsea boss said he’s focused on his current role and has no plans to leave Stamford Bridge

Maresca’s comments come after a turbulent few days, with him expressing frustration at unnamed parties for failing to support him and his players. He stressed that he wasn’t referring to fans, fueling speculation about his relationship with the club’s owners and sporting directors.

Despite the speculation, Maresca remains committed to Chelsea, with a contract until 2029. “I know that is 100 per cent speculation,” he said. “My focus is just about this club, and I’m very proud to be here.”

When pressed, Maresca promised fans he’ll still be at Chelsea next season. “Absolutely, yes,” he said. “I have a contract until 2029, and this is speculation 100 per cent.”

Maresca’s team is performing well, currently fourth in the Premier League and qualifying for the Champions League last 16. They’ve also won the UEFA Conference League and Club World Cup under his leadership.

The Italian coach is focused on the present, refusing to engage with speculation. “If we continue to talk about that, that means that I’m paying attention to that,” he said.
