Enrique has a tough decision to make when he selects who leads his frontline.
PSG has a star-studded team, a team that has shown that they deserve to be in the Champions League final. Enrique has transformed the team from participants to beaters. They have slayed the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and stood strong in the face of Villa’s threat.
For every match, PSG’s lineup has looked the same, but Enrique has faced a few issues when it comes to selecting his attackers. PSG’s frontline consists of four of the best attackers in world football at the moment, players who can make defenders fret in every duel.
Managing a frontline that has Doue, Bracola, Dembele, and Kvaratskhelia hasn’t been an easy one, especially deciding which one to drop given that PSG play a 4-3-3 formation.
In the Liverpool game and the second leg of the Villa game, Enrique opted to put Bracola with Dembele and Kvaratskhelia, but in the first leg against Arsenal and the first leg of the Villa game, he went with Doue. Only once, the second leg of the Arsenal game, did Doue and Bracola start together in the UCL knockout stages for PSG, which was because Dembele wasn’t available.
Ahead of the final, Enrique has a big decision to make. Who would he choose between Bracola and Doue?
Kvaratskhelia and Dembele look set to retain their spots so the problem is with choosing who will pair with the two.
While both players offer goals, flair, chance creation and the ability to take defenders on, Enrique would eventually choose the player that he believes is more suited to perform better against Inter Milan’s set up and help them deal a big blow to the Italians in the first half and if it doesn’t work out, he knows he’ll have a reliable option on the bench that can affect the game.
