Tiago Freitas says the 19-year-old will return to Real Madrid at the end of his loan
Endrick will not stay at Lyon beyond the end of his loan deal in the summer but will instead return to Real Madrid, according to the player’s agent.
The 19-year-old moved to France in the January window in search of playing time and has taken Lyon by storm, scoring five goals in six appearances.
If the club could keep him they certainly would, and there have accordingly been rumours linking the player to an extended stay, but the Brazilian’s agent Tiago Freitas has quashed those rumours.
“Endrick will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season,” said Freitas. “He’s on loan and at the end of the season, Endrick will be again a Real Madrid player.”

Returning to the Spanish capital in the summer would surely only put the 19-year-old in the same position that forced his winter exit, with more established options such as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo still in the side. But Freitas said the focus was not on that.
“I cannot predict the future,” said Freitas. “Endrick is only thinking about the next game. It’s always about the next game.”
But the agent believes the youngster’s lack of game time was never about ability, as his performances for Lyon have shown.
“Endrick had had no problem adapting [at Madrid],” Freitas said. “He scored in his first Champions League game, in his first La Liga game, in his first cup game.
“When you arrive at a club where eight of the 10 best players in the world are already there, it’s normal for an 18-year-old to get limited minutes on the pitch.
“However, he didn’t do the preseason, he didn’t go to the Club World Cup and he was out for several months [with a hamstring injury]. At a club like Real Madrid, that penalises you a lot.”
