Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries expressed interest in a potential Premier League move.
Denzel Dumfries, Inter Milan’s talented right-back, has thrown his hat into the ring for a potential Premier League move.
In a recent press conference with the Netherlands national team, Dumfries expressed his admiration for the Premier League, saying, “The Premier League is a fantastic competition. I think I could also do very well in England. If there were a professional opportunity, I would certainly be interested.”
Dumfries’ current contract with Inter Milan includes a €25m release clause, which could pave the way for a Premier League move.
His impressive performances for both Inter Milan and the Netherlands national team have caught the attention of several top clubs. Dumfries has been instrumental in Inter Milan’s success, helping the team win several titles, including the Serie A title and the Supercoppa Italiana.
The Dutch defender highlighted the differences between the Premier League and Serie A, noting that the Premier League is known for its intensity, while Serie A excels in tactical ability. “These are two different approaches to football,” he said. “The Champions League, however, always offers exciting clashes.”
Dumfries’ interest in the Premier League is not new. In the past, Manchester United and Aston Villa have been linked with potential moves for the defender.
Despite speculation about his future, Dumfries has expressed his love for Inter Milan, where he has won six trophies in three years.
He emphasized that while he is happy at Inter, he believes he could also thrive in the Premier League. With his contract extension until 2028, it seems Dumfries is committed to Inter Milan for now, but his interest in the Premier League remains.
