Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac is reportedly open to the idea of bringing Jadon Sancho back to the club, with the English winger’s Manchester United contract set to expire at the end of the season.
According to reports, a third stint at BVB for Sancho is taking on increasingly concrete shape.

The driving force behind the potential move is said to be Sebastian Kehl, but head coach Niko Kovac is reportedly also in favour of a return for the Englishman, while sporting managing director Lars Ricken is warming to the idea.
Sancho’s current contract with Manchester United is worth around €15 million per season, but he would likely have to accept a significant pay cut to make the move possible.
Reports suggests a more realistic annual salary for the 25-year-old at Dortmund would be around €7 million. This season, Sancho has been on loan at Aston Villa, scoring once and providing one assist in 29 appearances across all competitions.
Kovac’s approval is seen as a crucial factor in Sancho’s potential return, with the coach reportedly valuing the player’s creativity and goal-scoring ability. However, there are concerns about Sancho’s discipline and defensive work rate, which may impact his fit in Kovac’s system.
Sancho’s agent has reportedly indicated that he would be open to earning around half of his current salary to rejoin Borussia Dortmund.
The club is keen on bringing Sancho back permanently but is mindful of both transfer and salary costs.
