Eager to respond after Lens’ earlier victory over Rennes, Luis Enrique’s side started with real intent and were rewarded inside the opening 15 minutes. Désiré Doué split the Marseille defence with a clever outside-of-the-boot pass, allowing Nuno Mendes to burst in behind before squaring for Dembélé to calmly slide the ball home.
Marseille briefly threatened a swift reply when Amine Gouiri found space in the box, but Matvey Safonov reacted sharply to deny the forward from close range. That chance would prove to be the visitors’ clearest opening in a first half otherwise dominated by PSG.
The hosts doubled their advantage late in the opening period thanks to another moment of individual brilliance from Dembélé. Picking up possession on the right flank, the winger beat two defenders with ease before unleashing a ferocious strike into the roof of the net.
PSG continued to apply heavy pressure after the interval, going close through both Doué and Bradley Barcola, who each rattled the woodwork as Marseille struggled to cope with the hosts’ relentless tempo.
The third goal arrived in unfortunate fashion for the visitors, with Facundo Medina inadvertently turning Vitinha’s dangerous cross into his own net while attempting to clear. It effectively ended any lingering hope of a Marseille comeback.

With the contest beyond doubt, PSG’s substitutes added further gloss to the scoreline. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia produced a fine finish from a looping delivery before Lee Kang-in struck at the near post to complete the rout. The victory moves PSG two points clear at the summit, while Marseille slip further behind in the race for the Champions League places.
