In October 2025, Kevin De Bruyne saw his season with Napoli come to a pause during the game against Inter Milan. After successfully converting a penalty, he suffered a hamstring tear that was so severe it required immediate surgery. 

To ensure the best possible recovery environment, the former Manchester City star spent the majority of his time away from the spotlight in his native Belgium.

Before that ill-fated penalty, De Bruyne was arguably one of the most influential players in Serie A. In just 11 competitive appearances for Napoli, he had already racked up four goals and two assists, dictating the tempo of games with the surgical precision that has defined his career.
