Cristiano Ronaldo signs a two-year contract extension with Al-Nassr, worth a record-breaking £492 million. 

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two-year contract extension with Al-Nassr, making him one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. The deal is reportedly worth a basic £492 million, with potential earnings exceeding £500 million.

 

 

 

 

 

Ronaldo’s new contract includes a staggering daily salary of £488,000 and a signing bonus of £24.5 million, which could increase to £38 million if he triggers certain conditions.

He will also receive a 15% ownership stake in Al-Nassr, valued at £33 million. Additionally, the contract includes performance-based bonuses for winning the Saudi Pro League and the Golden Boot award.

The Portuguese forward has been in impressive form for Al-Nassr, scoring 99 goals in 111 appearances and winning the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer award for the second consecutive season. He is now just 62 goals away from reaching his target of 1,000 senior career goals.

Ronaldo’s contract extension comes with luxurious perks, including a team of 16 staff members, comprising three drivers, four housekeepers, two chefs, three gardeners, and four security personnel, at a cost of around £1.4 million.

He will also have access to a private jet, with £4 million allocated for its use. Furthermore, potential sponsorship deals with Saudi companies could reach £60 million.

This deal comes after the departure of head coach Stefano Pioli who has been linked with a move back to the Serie A. Pioli becomes the fourth coach to leave the club since Ronaldo joined in 2023. In a post on X, Ronaldo wrote: ‘Grazie per tutto’, which translates into English as ‘thank you for everything’.
