Cristiano Ronaldo Reaches 938 Goals in Portugal’s Win over Spain 

Cristiano Ronaldo was on the scoresheet as Portugal edged out Spain in penalties in the UEFA Nations League final.

Portugal and Ronaldo emerged two-time winners of the UEFA Nations League yesterday, winning it more times than any team in the competition’s history. The win was a hard-fought one as Portugal had to come from behind twice in the game to equalize and eventually take the game to penalties.

The entire Portuguese team played with all their hearts but one man stole the headline. Cristiano Ronaldo was at the center of things after scoring from close range to get Portugal level in the second half. The 40-year old striker scored to bring his team level and hit 8 goals in 9 games in the Nations League.

He reached a career high of 938 goals which draws him closer to the iconic 1000 goals mark. This is now his third trophy with the country having taken Portugal to 5 finals in his 21 year career with the national team.
