Everton’s €30m offer for Francisco Conceicao was rejected as the winger insists on joining Juventus, which is hesitant to pay the full release fee.

Francisco Conceicao has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Everton despite the club agreeing to pay his €30m release clause.

According to sources in Portugal, Conceicao’s preference is to join Juventus, where he spent last season on loan. The Italian club is eager to sign him permanently, but they are not willing to pay the full release fee.

Juventus has made several offers to sign Conceicao, but none have met FC Porto’s demands. The club is reportedly willing to accept no less than the €30m release clause, which will increase to €45m in two days’ time. Everton’s offer was the only one to meet the full release fee, but Conceicao rejected the opportunity to join the Premier League club.

The Portuguese winger’s loyalty lies with Juventus, where he had a successful loan spell last season. Juventus, however, is trying to negotiate a lower fee, with offers ranging from €22m to €25m plus bonuses. FC Porto is unwilling to accept any offer below the release clause, and it seems Juventus will need to meet their demands if they want to sign Conceicao.

Juventus had previously paid €10m for Conceicao’s one-season loan and was hoping to negotiate a similar fee for a permanent transfer. However, FC Porto is not open to renegotiating the release clause. It remains to be seen whether Juventus will agree to pay the full amount or try to find another solution.
