Kingsley Coman leaves Bayern Munich to join Al-Nassr in a deal worth up to €30 million, with Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly playing a key role in the transfer.

Kingsley Coman has bid farewell to Bayern Munich after spending nearly a decade with the German giants. The 29-year-old French winger has joined Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, marking a new chapter in his career.

Coman’s departure from Bayern Munich comes after the club secured the services of Luis Díaz, which may have contributed to his decision to leave, potentially reducing his playing time.

During his time at Bayern, Coman was instrumental in shaping one of the club’s most successful eras. He played a crucial role in the team’s 2020 Champions League final win against Paris Saint-Germain, scoring the decisive goal. Coman’s contributions to Bayern Munich are undeniable, with 339 appearances, 72 goals, and 71 assists to his name.

The transfer fee for Coman’s move to Al-Nassr is reportedly €25 million, with potential bonuses increasing the fee to €30 million. This deal marks a significant financial boost for Coman, who will earn a reported €20-25 million per year (net) in Saudi Arabia, surpassing his previous salary at Bayern Munich.

Interestingly, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly played a key role in convincing Coman to join Al-Nassr. The Portuguese superstar allegedly campaigned for Coman internally, praising his qualities and expressing his desire to have him join the team.

Coman expressed his gratitude to Bayern Munich, acknowledging the opportunities he had while playing for the club. “I’m thankful to be a part of this club’s history,” he said, reflecting on his time with Bayern. The club’s sporting director, Max Eberl, also paid tribute to Coman, wishing him all the best in his new challenge.

Coman’s departure marks the end of an era for Bayern Munich, but it’s also an opportunity for the club to rebuild and refresh its squad. With Coman’s impressive record and contributions to the team, he’ll be remembered as one of the club’s legends.
